Good pub but restricted choice of beers due to tie to Holden. Few guest beers would be nice.
Popped in today lovely atmosphere very friendly will be going back.
Recently renovated from a Marston's pub, to a Holden's establishment with upgraded bedrooms with each room having its own parking space! Nice friendly overall feel about this change with good Holden's beers. Various cobs on sale, not sure about meals as yet.
We have stayed here many times for rememberence Sunday service. The rooms have been refurbished to a high standard and the beer is as good as ever.The management and staff are excellent and looked after us during our stay.
Our room called Platform Three is comfortable but unfortunately both it's windows are above a smoking area. This means it is noisy until late at night (12.15 last night) and the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke when we returned back and pub was busy. It's a pity as the decor is newly done and room well equipped. The pub staff are very friendly. .
