Absolutely top class .We had the carvery with a broccoli and stilton starter. Best I've tasted in a long time marvellous setting.
Looks to be a great little pub/restaurant with good reception facilities too. Nice gardens and good photo opportunities and an easily accessible location.
Love this place and would definitely be regular customers there if we lived closer! Food is always excellent as is the service. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Came for Sunday carvery, which was excellent. Choice of meats were lamb, beef, gammon, pork and turkey (you can have a bit of all the meats). Very good quality and tasted really good. Booking essential as is very busy.
Absolutely beautiful old pub, serving s superb roast dinner. My parents have an Aga and the best roasts I've ever had have been from their kitchen - this place isn't as good as mums cooking (what is?!) but it's pretty damn close! The meat was fall apart perfect, vegetables spot on and the choice was excellent. My only disappointment was that I was way too full to try a pudding! Next time I'll have to reign in the portions so I can try one as we will definitely be going back. The Bailey's latte was a very lovely finish. Well worth a visit - but definitely book in advance as it is incredibly popular, for good reason.
